How to select foundation for Solar Mounting Structures?


Before the construction of solar power plant, soil is needed to be analyzed to determine the type of the foundation. Suitable foundation can save the construction cost of solar power plant and reduce risk of operation and maintenance of solar power plant.
EPC of solar farm needs a geological survey report, including soil type, obstacle in the soil, water level and corrosion factors.

1. C Profile Steel

The soil viscidity is enough and there is no obstacle in the soil, C Profile Steel is the best choice for the foundation. C Profile Steel can be piled directly. It is easy and can save time, harbor and money.


 

2. Screw Pile
 
The soil viscidity is enough and there is no obstacle in the soil, Screw Pile is the ideal choice for the foundation.
There are advantages as follows:
The construction is not affected by the climate very much; the construction will be greatly shorten the construction period and save the cost; Can be removed and be used repeatedly; no need to dig and deal with residual soil; do not pollute the environment. 


 

3. Bit leaf Screw Pile
If there is loose sand in the soil, high water level or low soil viscidity and there is no obstacle, it is best to choose big leaf Screw Pile. Large space between leaves is suitable for sand bed of high water level or loose soil property.



4. If there is loose sand in the soil, high water level or low soil viscidity, it is ok to choose concrete. Concrete can provide enough viscidity fixations.
If there is obstacle in the soil in the same time, concrete foundation is the only choice.
